Riverside teachers cheered the Rockets basketball team to victory! Second and fourth grade students paired up for reading. Fourth grade students used Quiz, Quiz, Trade for social studies review. Students volunteered to lend a hand at Ms. Morton's retirement brunch. Students work with textiles and clay to express their ideas. Cheers to our students for completing 2014-2015 school year! Beginning in September, Riverside Elementary School bell schedules will change.

  • K - 6: 8:55 am – 3:40 pm
  • PAC:  9:20 am – 4:05 pm
  • AM preschool:  9:20 am – 12:40 pm
  • PM preschool:  12:45 am – 4:05 pm

Opportunity Neighborhood Mount Vernon

Opportunity Neighborhood Mount Vernon is pleased to announce The Imagination Library program is now available to all children, from birth to age 5, who live in the 22309 zip code. Children who are registered with our imagination Library program will receive an age-appropriate book every month, nailed to them at home, free of charge. Register Now!

Advanced Academics

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) offers a continuum of advanced academic services for all students in grades K-12.  Learning opportunities are designed to meet the unique learning profile of each advanced learner through a continuum of services designed to focus and engage the student in challenging learning experiences that develop higher-level thinking through enrichment, acceleration, and extensions of the Program of Studies (POS).  Classroom teachers, administrators, and Advanced Academic Resource Teachers (AARTs) collaborate to deliver the various levels of service.
