Civics

Attention Parents and Students: 
Fairfax County Public Schools requires that all eighth grade students perform 15 hours of community service.  Service may be performed for community, neighborhood, or school organizations.  More details will be provided in the fall in students’ Civics and Economics classes.  However students may begin to accrue hours through service performed during the summer.  Please use the Community Service Log to record such activity and turn in to your Civics and Economics teacher in the fall.  (Note:  Hours performed to satisfy the NJHS 15-hour requirement can NOT be used to satisfy the county’s requirement.)  Please direct any questions to Sharri Clifford at ssclifford@fcps.edu .
