The Positive Behavior Approach serves as a vehicle to communicate our school-wide expectation that students will strive to be responsible, ready, and respectful.  For each common area,  a matrix has been developed to remind students and staff what it looks like to be responsible,  ready, and respectful in that particular setting.  In order to see these matrices, follow the links at the top of the page.

In addition to these matrices, Carson uses Learning Seminar to teach skills and strategies to reinforce these expectations.  So far this year, we’ve completed the following activities in Learning Seminar:

  • September          Mapping Your Day in the Daily Assignment Book for the Fall Semester
  • October               Daily Assignment Book Check
  • November           Locker Check and Locker Clean Out

Over the next few months, we’ll complete the following activities in Learning Seminar:

  • December          Binder Checks
  • January               Mapping Your Day in the Daily Assignment Book for the Spring Semester
  • February              Locker Check and Locker Clean Out
