Attendance

Please contact RCMS if your child is going to be absent from or tardy to school. Please use whatever option works best for you yet make sure you notify the attendance office either by phone call or email. Notifying teachers about student absences is fine but not sufficient to excuse a student absence.

Attendance line is not intended for early dismissal arrangements. For early dismissals, please send a note to the front office with your student first thing in the morning.

Pre-arranged absences must be done three (3) school days in advance and be approved by an administrator. Have your student bring a note to the front office giving the dates and the reason for the absence. We will give him or her a form to take around to their teachers to sign and the student will be given his or her assignments for the time they will be out. They are to return the form to the front office for approval by the administrator. Please do not email prearranged absence requests to the attendance email.
