Bissan Alnaji is starting her first year at Providence Elementary as a school counselor. She has been a substitute teacher for 4 years prior to working at Providence. She attended George Mason University for graduate school where she received her Masters degree in counseling. She also received her undergraduate degree from George Mason University with a degree in psychology. In her spare time, Bissan enjoys playing the piano, reading, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. |

Alan Borhauer is in his third year as the Providence Advanced Academics Resource Teacher, and is now in his 30th year of teaching. He received his teacher certification and Bachelor of Arts degree through Arizona State University and his Master's degree in Technology Education Leadership from The George Washington University. During his career he has had the opportunity to teach Kindergarten through 8th grade in 6 different states In his free time he likes to reflect on new ways to improve student thinking while he works on the Providence courtyard. |

Larry Cook is in his sixth year at Providence. This year he has transitioned from the full-time Mathematics Focus Teacher to part time (3-days a week) as a Math Resource Teacher. A former Naval Officer, he has also taught 2nd and 4th grade and holds a Masters of Education and Masters of Business Administration. Favorite leisure time activities include gardening, biking, hiking and reading. |

Nawal was born and raised in Texas. She received her Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas, known for the Callier Center for Communication Disorders Clinic. This is her second year with FCPS, and she is very happy to be here at Providence Elementary. Nawal enjoys learning about different cultures, places, foods, and ideas. She is also known for loving chocolate and coffee. |

Dori Hargrove is beginning her third year at Providence as a Title I SUM Teacher. Prior to joining Providence she was a 5th grade teacher. She has two Masters Degrees in Education, one in Curriculum Instruction and the other in Mathematics Education. Her favorite leisure time activities include scrapbooking, bowling, and reading. |

This is Sarah Phillips' fourth year teaching at Providence. Before becoming a Science Resource Teacher, she taught fourth grade for eight years. After doing her undergraduate work at the University of Virginia, she spent time in New York to earn a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Teachers College at Columbia University. She loves spending time with her family, traveling to NY to see her husband's family, reading, taking lots of photos, scrapbooking, and cooking. |

Mark is entering his ninth year working in Fairfax County Public Schools. He started teaching fourth grade at Bull Run Elementary School in Centerville for six years. He then became the School Based Technology Specialist at Lake Anne and held that position for two years. Mark graduated from the University of Virginia and received his Master’s degree Elementary Education from Marymount University. Mark likes to visit Myrtle Beach when he takes vacation. |

Sarah Rupp is in her ninth year as a school counselor at Providence Elementary School. Prior to being a school counselor she worked in the mental health field for over 10 years. She has a masters degree from George Mason University. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters who are now both in college. She enjoys spending time with family, friends, biking, traveling, and rooting for NAVY and Florida Gators! |

Diana Schmiesing has been teaching for over 28 years as a classroom teacher and currently is the Technology Resource Teacher at Providence. She has a Master's degree in Elementary Education from George Mason University. In her free time she enjoys time with friends and family, the theater, reading and crafting. |

Gina Shelton is starting her 22nd year with FCPS and her 13th year as a School Based Technology Specialist. She received her Masters of Education in Curriculum & Instructional Technology from George Mason University and her undergrad in elementary education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and cheering on the anything Pittsburgh related! |

She has a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Virginia Tech and a second Master's in Educational Leadership as a Math Specialist from George Mason University.
