Meet the PES 3rd Grade Team

Ms. Booher is beginning her 6th year teaching at Providence and is delighted to be teaching 3rd grade this year! She earned her undergraduate degree from Allegheny College and her Masters of Education Degree, specializing in reading instruction, from California University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Booher loves reading books, decorating, and being a loving mom. She has two daughters who attend Providence and is expecting her third baby girl this December. |

Ms. Gonzalez will begin her fifth year teaching at Providence Elementary and her seventh in Fairfax County. She earned her Master's Degree in Elementary |

Ms. M. Gonzalez’s will begin her second year teaching at Providence. She received her Master’s degree in Elementary Education from James Madison University. Ms. M. Gonzalez is passionate about opening children’s eyes to cultural diversity. Her hobbies include running, dancing and traveling. She spent this summer in various European countries and is looking forward to sharing some of those experiences with her new 3rd grade class! |

Mrs. James will begin her fourth year teaching at Providence Elementary and her tenth year in Fairfax County. She received her degree in Elementary Education from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania (formerly Bloomsburg State College). Her hobbies include reading, gardening, and cooking. She enjoys travelling with her husband, spending time with her children, and walking her two dogs. Mrs. James also likes to spend time near the water and is hoping to learn about boating in the future! She is excited to begin a new school year as a Providence Panther! |

Ms. Neely will begin her eleventh year teaching at Providence Elementary and her eighteenth year in Fairfax County. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from West Virginia University and her Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction from George Mason University. Her hobbies include playing soccer, reading, and playing with her 20 month old Australian Shepherd puppy, George. She is excited to begin a new school year at Providence! |

Mrs. Westbrook is beginning her 9th year teaching and her 8th year teaching at Providence. She has taught special education in all elementary grades except for 4th grade. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Old Dominion University and her Master’s in Special Education from George Mason University. She looks forward to a wonderful year of learning with the students. |

This is Miss Zuidema's first year of teaching, and she is thrilled to be at Providence ES to start her career in 3rd grade. She earned her undergraduate degree from The College of William and Mary and a Masters degree in Elementary Education from George Mason University. Outside of the classroom, Miss Zuidema enjoys reading, playing soccer, traveling, and spending time with family. |
