Meet the PES 2nd Grade Team

Linda Breen has been with FCPS for over 30 years. I love my job as a special education IA here at Providence for 10 years. My free time is always with my grandkids. I love dogs and cats. |

Michelle Connolly graduated from Marymount University in Arlington, VA where she received a Bachelors in Elementary Education. She grew up, and still lives in Vienna, VA. This is her first year as a 2nd grade teacher at Providence. In her free time, she enjoys singing, reading, baking, crafting, and spending time with her family. |

Liz Courter started working at this school 24 years ago when the school was named Jermantown Elementary School. She grew up in Ohio and attended Bowling Green State University. She loves to sew, knit, cook, do crafts of all kinds, and to spend time with her husband, 2 grown children and 4 grandchildren. |

Cindy Howe is beginning her 14th year in FCPS at Providence in 2nd Grade. Mrs. Howe was born and raised in Ohio and received her education at Ohio University. |

Jeannie McKeown is beginning her tenth year of teaching 2nd grade. This will be her fifth year to teach in FCPS at Providence Elementary. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor Degree in Arts and Sciences and her Masters of Education. She is an avid reader, enjoys being outdoors, and loves spending time with her family. |

Angela (Pae) Lee, who received her undergrad and graduate education at UVA, is returning to Providence for her 6th year. She got married over the summer and enjoys traveling, reading, watching movies, and cooking with her new husband. |

Melissa Sutter is beginning her 8th year at Providence as a Special Education teacher. She grew up in Ohio and attended the University of Toledo in Ohio. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, enjoys all sports, and loves the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. |

Cori Sweeney graduated from St. Joseph's College in Patchogue, New York. She has a Bachelors Degree in Child Study. She is currently working on her Master’s |

Courtney Taubken is beginning her 4th year at Providence teaching 2nd grade and her 6th year in FCPS. She previously taught in Ohio before moving to Northern Virginia and received her education from Mount Union College. She enjoys being a mommy to her exuberant 4 year old daughter Elizabeth, and newborn twins Gabriella and Charlotte, spending time with her family, and reading. |
