Students had the opportunity to reflect on the courtyard project.  Below are several remarks made by the students when asked about the project:

Name one Service Learning Activity you did today.

“I planted a large pink tree”  grade 5

“I helped shovel top soil for plants” grade 3

“I painted a mural by the science lab” grade 6

Name two things you learned from participating in today’s Service Saturday Project.

“I learned how to dig a hole for a plant and then the plant needed top soil added to it” grade 5

“That painting a mural is fun and how to blend cool colors”  grade 6

Name three ways the Service Learning Activity helped the Providence school community.

“Made the courtyard beautiful, helped students learn about plants, and brought the community together.” grade 3

“Made it cooler and helps the environment.  Sharing your time and getting together with other people” grade 5
