Technology at Providence

SMARTBoards

We now have the latest classroom instructional tool available to all of our students.  Each classroom grades K-6 are equipped with a SMARTBoard presentation station.  In addition to the classrooms our Music and Chinese Foreign Language departments each have a SMARTBoard.

The kindergarten, first and second grade students were anxiously awaiting the arrival of the interactive white boards this year.  Last year we purchased SMARTBoards for grades 3-6.

 

The SMARTBoards enhance instruction in a multitude of ways:

· Second grade students are watching  insect movies in science. 

· First grade students are taking attendance on the SMARTboards.

· Kindergarten students watch the alphabet dance and sing across the SMARTBoard while they sing along.
