Sixth graders will continue to work with experimental design (they are investigating a crime scene in class – ask about it!). We will begin a unit on Astronomy in the next few weeks. This unit is moving from the 8th grade to the 6th grade and will focus on the Earth, Moon, Sun relationship. The students will review from 4th grade and add to the depth of their understanding. The primary focus is to understand patterns in our planetary bodies and how each celestial body impacts the other. Help your student understand these patterns by learning them with her. Watch the moon phases and see what happens to the tides. Watch the high and low tides each day and figure out the position of the moon! Want some help – email me and/or use the following websites:
