General Music is offered twice a week for grades K through 6.  Classes include vocal, instrumental, and creative movement/ dance instruction.  Students in grades 3-6 play recorders which are pre band instruments.  General music classes follow the guidelines of the Virginia Standards of Learning for music as well as the National standards for music, with emphasis on correlations to the general curriculum and technology.  Specifics about music classes can be found on the blackboard websites for students and parents.   Strings classes are offered to students in grades 4-6 and Band is offered to students in grades 5 and 6.
