Autumn Greetings
Autumn greetings, whisper nigh,
Welcome leaves,
Of many hues,
Swaying briskly in the wind,
Welcome days of much delight,
Gracing evening’s moonlight.
Silhouettes of leafless trees,
Dancing in the gloaming
of an autumn night,
Welcome sounds of peace—be still,
Welcome thanks of bountiful giving.

We have made it through the first grading period! I hope that each and every one of you had a productive, collaborative, and informative parent/teacher conference. Communication between home and school is vital to the overall success of our students’ success. As your instructional leader, I am always thinking about ways to make Poplar Tree the best it can possibly be. I think about programs, resources, teaching strategies that effectively tap the learning styles of each child in the most creative ways. I enjoy visiting the classes and seeing active teaching and learning. I enjoy the many conversations I have with the students. They are so insightful. I also value the many conversations I have with you. I like listening to your ideas, answering your questions, and just chatting about the mission and vision of our school and FCPS...We are indeed Preparing Tomorrow’s Leaders Today.
