We will celebrate the end of a fantastic school year with events that mark our 20th Year Anniversary. This week, we took a school wide aerial picture in the shape of a 20 on the soccer field. Every staff member and student, dressed in red, showed their Panther Pride for Poplar Tree. A special “Thank You” to Kathy Richter for designing and organizing our 20th Year Anniversary T-shirts for this special picture. On Wednesday, June 9th, our Sixth Grade Choral Production, “Happy Birthday Poplar Tree’, will highlight the spectacular shows for the past ten years. It is sure to be a treat and a memorable tribute to Poplar Tree. The 10th year time capsule was filled and sealed in June of 2000. We will celebrate with a school wide assembly to open this time capsule and replace it with mementos from the last ten years on Wednesday, June 23rd.
In September, we will continue the celebratory events with a Happy Birthday Poplar Tree assembly and an evening reception to honor former administrators and staff members.Poplar Tree has indeed soared to many new heights within the last ten years and this year. We congratulate our Sixth Grade Class of 2010 and wish them the best of luck as they continue to soar…
