The MYP Areas of Interaction are the core elements of the MYP. They provide a framework for learning within and across the 8 subject groups. The Areas of Interaction help students and teachers make connections among subjects and to the larger world. |

Approaches to Learning
This area helps students acquire transferable skills for learning as well as foster positive values and attitudes towards learning. Approaches to Learning works to develop:
Study skills
Organizational skills
Collaborative skills
Communication
Information literacy
Reflection
Problem solving and thinking skills

Community and Service
This Area of Interaction is concerned with developing awareness of community including one’s role in the community.. Through the exploration of community students learn to become sensitive to the needs of the community and understand similarities and differences between communities.

Environment
Through this Area, students learn to examine sides of environmental issues and understand the impact of environmental issues on society and the economy. Students use this area to explore ways
to make an impact on the school and local environment. |

Human Ingenuity
This area fosters exploration of why humans create and the impact of various creations on individuals, society and the world. Students will be involved as innovators
and/or creators when learning through this area.

Health and Social Education
This area deals with physical, social and emotional health and intelligence. Through this area, students become better informed about health issues and choices they can make to as they consider how to live a healthy life. This area includes:
