The Algebra Readiness Initiative is a focused intervention program designed to assist students in mastering all the Virginia Standards of Learning. A select number of students are recommended for testing for potential placement into the program. The on-line Algebra Readiness Diagnostic Test (ARDT) helps identify areas of mathematics study that need strengthening, and thus, helps assure readiness for Algebra I in ninth grade. The program then focuses on strengthening the student's SOL-related weaknesses and reinforcing SOL-related strengths identified on the ADRT results
