Health and Physical Education (730000)

Prerequisite: none
Students gain knowledge in a variety of individual, dual, and team sports to develop competencies and promote an active lifestyle. Concepts of physical fitness and conditioning are taught. One quarter of the course includes instruction in the health education topics, alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use prevention (ATOD), as well as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Students demonstrate physical fitness and competency in a lifetime sport or activity and an understanding of conditioning principles. One quarter of the course includes instruction in the health education topics: personal and community health.
