Oakton High School policy for cell phones and other personal computing devices allows for the instructional use of these devices during the school day. Our policy is in conjunction with the FCPS Bring Your Own Device initiative. Oakton High School uses a color coded system to indicate how cell phones and other personal computing devices may used at specific times of the school day as well as specific locations. Students should make sure they understand the appropriate use of their cell phone or personal computing device based on teacher/staff expecations as well as the displayed cell phone color code. Violations of the cell phone policy will result in confiscation of the device. Repeated violations will result in disciplinary action.
