National Honor Society Glenn Cunningham Chapter
Membership in the Oakton chapter is an honor bestowed upon a student.  Selection for membership is by a faculty council and is based on outstanding scholarship, character, leadership, and service. Please review the Information Packet.

Events:

• The science honor society meeting will be today at 2:15 in the cafeteria.
• The class of 2012 is currently designing an Oakton t-shirt. If you think you have an awesome slogan idea for the t-shirt then please submit it to Miss Hunter, in room 230 by today.
• Students who are interested in running for an elected position next year must turn in a letter of intent and their personal statement to class sponsors by March 23rd. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Cruz in Room 177.
• All students interested in the leadership class for next year must complete and turn in their applications by Monday march 22nd. Applications are available on Blackboard and the Oakton website and can be turned in to Mrs. Cruz in Room 177. Late applications will not be accepted.
• If you want to go to the Hypnosis show on Saturday at 7:00 in the auditorium, then don’t forget to buy your ticket from a leadership student!
• The leadership book drive will continue collecting children’s books until tomorrow. Remember, the class who brings in the most books will win a pizza party.
