We all love our kids, but sometimes we have questions about their behavior and our response to it!  Come and join the discussion this Wednesday evening with Dr. Ciardi, and you will find that parents have a lot in common when it comes to discerning the balance of discipline and acceptance!  There is always an interesting range of issues on the table.  This is an Oakton PTSA event, which is open to all in our community.  So parents please feel welcome to bring your friends and neighbors!

FEDERAL IMPACT AID STUDENT-PARENT SURVEY

Federal Impact Aid Student-Parent Survey forms were distributed last Wednesday, November 3.  If you have not had the opportunity to do so, please fill out the Impact Aid Student-Parent Survey in its’ entirety, sign and date, and return to Oakton.  Students should return forms to their 7th period teacher.  If you have not received a Federal Impact Aid form from your student you may call the Burgundy Office at 703.319.2775 and one will be faxed to you.  Or your student may pick one up at the Burgundy Office.  Thank you for completing and returning this form, as it benefits all Fairfax County residents.

STUDENT FACULTY BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT, SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2010

This Saturday, Nov 13th, Oakton will host its 5th Annual 3-on-3 basketball tournament from 2:30 to 7 pm.  Oakton students, faculty and leadership students will be involved in the process and it is free to the public to attend if they want to watch some basketball!”

FRESHMEN PARENT COFFEE THIS THURSDAY NOVEMBER 11

The Oakton High School PTSA will hold a coffee for freshmen parents on November 11 at 9:00 am in the library. Please join us for coffee and conversation about your son or daughter’s first year at Oakton!
