The mission of the Newington Forest Elementary School Library:

• To support the implementation of the Fairfax County Public School's program of studies
• To make students and staff effective users of Information and Ideas (Information Power).
• To make students, parents and volunteers feel welcomed and valued.

Circulation Policies

The Newington Forest Elementary School library is open daily during school hours for checkout and research.

"A book is due when you are through or in two weeks.”
(Which ever is earlier)

Kindergarten and First Grade may check out one book.

Second Grade may have two books checked out at one time.

Third through Sixth Grade may check out up to three books.

Students are responsible for taking care of books and returning them on time.

**With permission of the classroom teacher, students may come to the library any time during the school day for book checkout, check in or renewal. **

Reference books may be checked out at the end of the school day.

They are due on the next school day.
