John Kren
I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa, home of the 6 time Super Bowl champs!I received my Bachelors Degree from Bethany College in West Virginia. I received my Masters Degree in Education Leadership from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va .I began my teaching career in Prince Georges County, Maryland, where I taught 6th grade for 2 years.I taught 5th grade in Stafford County, Va. for 2 years, and then was a school counselor for 1 year in that same county.I served as the Assistant Principal at Newington Forest for 4 years and am now happy to be in my 8th year as Principal. I wouldn’t want to be any place else!
I enjoy traveling to new places, reading and watching sports.
Mike Kelchlin
Originally from Buffalo, NY, Mr. Kelchlin received his bachelors
degree in Physical Education from SUNY College at Brockport, and later completed a masters degree in School Administration from the University of Virginia. He has five years teaching experience in Fairfax County, to go along with one year in Charlotte, NC. This is Mr. Kelchlin’s third year at Newington Forest, and first year as assistant principal. When not at school, he enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, and watching the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bills.
