I was born in Camp Lejuene, NC, and grew up in a military family.  Growing up, we moved around quite a bit, and finally settled in Northern Virginia.  I have a husband, two little boys and two cuddly cats at home.  This will be my fifth year teaching for Fairfax County Public Schools. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in English, and my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in ESL from George Mason University.  I love being an ESOL teacher and working with such wonderfully diverse students.  When I am at home I enjoy spending time with my boys, as well as gardening, cooking, and relaxing.  I recently became a runner and will run my first 5K this fall
