Mrs. Schroeder was born and raised in Fairfax County.  She grew up going to Fairfax County Public Schools and attended Virginia Tech to get her undergraduate degree.  After working a few years at a bank, Mrs. Schroeder decided she really wanted to be a teacher.  She got her masters degree in Education from Marymount University and became a full-time teacher in one year.  Although she had childhood aspirations to become a vet, Mrs. Schroeder realized that teaching was where she could make the biggest contribution.  She still loves animals and often wows her friends and family with her extensive knowledge. .  During her free time Mrs. Schroeder loves to read, work in the garden, and spend time with her family.
