Hello! We are the Busy Bees. Our class mascot is Honey bear. Honey bear loves to visit with each Busy Bee at their home throughout the school year. Honey bear is usually able to make several visits to each home. Our hive is always busy singing, reading, writing, learning new math skills and learning about our science and social studies units. Mrs. Mitchell and Mrs. Zayid

Mrs. Mitchell has been a member of the Navy kindergarten program since 1997. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a BS in Education. In her free time, she enjoys reading, dining out, going to movies, shopping, and traveling.

Mrs. Zayid:

Soon after graduating from Zerka College in Jordan more than 20 years ago, I joined my husband in the US and established residence in Maryland.

We moved to Virginia 6 years ago where I worked as a pre-K lead teacher at a private school before joining Fairfax County as a SACC teacher then a Kindergarten Instructional Assistant. This will be my third year as an IA at FCPS.
I always enjoyed volunteering and did so whenever I found the time to do so, both in Montgomery and Fairfax County Public Schools.

I am married with 3 boys ranging in age from 9 to 19 years old. The oldest is in college and the youngest will be a 4th grader at Navy.

Our leisure time is mostly spent with the children doing family activities, visiting with friends, reading and watching movies.
