After leaving the mortgage and banking industry, Mrs. Fitzpatrick started her teaching career with Fairfax County Public Schools in 1992.  She has been teaching at Navy since 2002.  She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Education is from George Mason University.  Having taught Kindergarten and 1st grades in her earlier years, Mrs. Fitzpatrick discovered that working with 2nd and 3rd graders gives her the most joy each day.  When you walk into her classroom a sense of warmth, fun and enthusiasm is had by all with her cutting edge instruction, use of many 21st Century Technologies, and most of all her wonderful sense of humor.  She loves watching her students’ passion for learning grow and is amazed by all they can learn and do both inside and outside of the classroom.
Mrs. Fitzpatrick grew up in Fairfax County, Virginia and resides in Loudoun County with a beautiful view of the Cotoctin Mountains and Sugar Loaf Mountain.  Outside of school, she spends much of her time reading, on the beach, traveling, hiking, biking, taking in the museums and enjoying the great outdoors with her husband and three children.  Other things that are of great interest are watching football, playing golf, classic movies, bird watching, tinkering on the piano, and, above all, spending as much time as she can with family and friends.
