Mrs. Drost grew up in Herndon, Virginia and is a product of the Fairfax County School System. She attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington earning a BA in Elementary Education. Afterward she spent the next three years teaching 3rd grade in Wilmington. Mrs. Drost spent the following five years living in Las Vegas, NV where she taught kindergarten, 2nd, and 4th grade. During that time, she earned a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Currently, Mrs. Drost is teaching 2nd grade, which is her favorite! Mrs. Drost married in 2006 and her husband is also an elementary school teacher with FCPS. Mrs. Drost loves spending time with her two dogs Sweetie and Bodie, and her son, Emmett. She loves to spend time outside; especially hiking and camping. She also enjoys being with friends and family, traveling, cooking, and practicing yoga. |
