Fossa
Characteristics: The fossa can weigh about 20 pounds and act very much like cats. They are slender and furry with large eyes and ears.
Habitat: Fossas live in the dry tropical forest of Madagascar.
Diet: They eat small rodents, insects, reptiles, and chickens. They are meat-eating carnivores.
Babies: Fossa pups are born without teeth or sight. They stay with their mothers for a year.
