Sloth
Characteristics: These mammals have thick brown fur coat and are about the size of a cat. They move very slowly and sleep up to 18 hours every day!
Habitat: Sloths live in Cecropia trees in the rainforests of Central America. They usually hang upside down.
Diet: Sloths are omnivores that eat vegetation, insects, and small lizards. It takes a sloth a long time to digest its food.
Predators: Sloths usually stay hidden in trees, but jaguars sometimes eat them when they come down.
