I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Special Education from West Virginia University and a Master’s Degree in Learning Disabilities from George Mason University.I am currently pursuing a second Master’s Degree in Special Education Leadership and Administration.   I am Nationally Board Certified in the area of Exceptional Needs.  I have been teaching since 1986 in the area of special education.  I taught my first year of teaching in St. Mary’s County, MD.  I chair the Local Screening Committee.    My philosophy I learned from my mentor and principal for 16 years….. “always do what is best for kids.”  I pride myself on taking advantage of opportunities to enhance and improve my teaching and knowledge of current practices. I love football , both college and professional.  I am a Mountaineers, Dukes and Redskins fan.
