GT News at Navy ES

Just a reminder that if you are interested in referring your child for GT Center placement for next year, the deadline  is February 8th.  You can download the form off the website which is:  www.fcps.edu\DIS\gt.  

Our sixth graders are sharing reports on famous people who have made fortunes in the stock market.  The stock market will be the unit we will be learning about.  We will be using a simulated game but will pick some actual stocks and watch their prices  over the next few weeks.  The children seem to be very excited about learning this topic.  Our 3rd and 5th graders are working on their WordMaster words.  This is a great activity that is meant to advance vocabulary as well as become more familiar with analogies and their format.  Our 4th graders are looking at homonyms and recognizing why the English language is so difficult to understand.  Words that may sound alike are used differently and have different meanings.  They are creating their own books of these pairs of words
