On February 6, 2007 sixteen students were recommended by judges at the Mount Vernon High School Science Fair to move on to the Fairfax County Regional Science Fair on March 16-18, 2007 at Robinson Secondary School. Twelve of these sixteen students were recognized at the Awards Ceremony on March 18.
Students received awards in the following categories:
- Honorable Mentions
- Amy Kerr, Lacy Roling, Rosa Tahmassebi (Animal Sciences), Sarah Ray (Animal Sciences), Danny Sonnenmark (Environmental Analysis), Ryan Deneault (Environmental Analysis), Ian Rabusseau (Physics and Astronomy), and Kaitlyn Sprague (Physics and Astronomy)
- 3rd Place Ribbons
- Chadwick Eason (Physics and Astronomy), Justin McCormick (Physics and Astronomy) and Faisal Aslam (Plant Sciences)
- 2nd Place Ribbon
- Ume Habiba (Environmental Management)
