Student Services Eric Kinneman is the Director of Student Services. He has been employed by FCPS since 1980 and has served as an elementary teacher and school counselor in grades K-12 in a variety of settings, including three years as school counselor at Mountain View, before accepting the position of Director of Student Services at the beginning of the 2006-07 school year. A long-time resident of Annandale, he enjoys bicycling, reading, and swimming in his spare time. He and his wife also enjoy traveling in the United States and abroad. Ghada Hasan Aqel is the Educational Technical Assistant/Database Administrator and has been with Fairfax County Public Schools for the last eight years. Her major responsibility is entering, tracking and rectifying all class, teacher and student information from registration until graduation in the database. Previously, she was with the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority for three and a half years. She grew up in Fairfax County and graduated from Marshall High School. Ghada attended NOVA and Computer Learning Center. Her two girls keep her very busy but she always finds time for her husband, friends and other family members. Ghada’s passions are writing, cooking, and gardening.
Sharon Debragga is Mountain View’s Career Development Coordinator. She has worked as a counselor at the elementary, middle, high school and college levels in North Carolina, Florida and Hawaii before starting in Fairfax County 19 years ago. During football season, she follows the VA Tech Hokies – alma mater of both her daughters, and during basketball season she cheers for the University of North Carolina Tarheels – her alma mater. She loves to read historical fiction and travel. She also has a very spoiled cat!
Ellen Fay is the school counselor for students whose last names begin with N-Z. She began her professional life as an elementary school teacher in Baldwin, New York. After receiving her MSW from Virginia Commonwealth University, she worked at Northern Virginia Family Service. And for the past fourteen years, Ellen has been a high school counselor at South Lakes High School and Robinson Secondary School. A thirty year resident of Reston, Ellen’s hobbies include her son, Matt, daughter, Meg, family, friends, visiting her adopted state, Minnesota, trips to New York and the beach, and reading about education and theology.
Susan Guarino is the Career Center Specialist and has been at Mountain View for 6 years. She has previously spent many years as a volunteer in a high school Career Center and was a project director for a Tech Prep grant at NVCC. She has been married for 33 years and is the proud parent of a son and a daughter, both college students. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and reading.
Sue Houde began her counseling career at Mountain View in 1997 as an intern from George Mason University. She is a Connecticut native and spent time in North Carolina, courtesy of the Marine Corps, with her husband. She has been happily married for 18 years and is a proud mom to Michael, age 14. She currently enjoys her work with students and has the privilege of coordinating our Project Opportunity Program for pregnant and parenting students. In her spare time, she shops for antiques, walks her dog, supports her son’s social and sport schedules and cheers on the UConn Huskies basketball teams!
Linda is the Administrative Assistant in the StudentServices/GuidanceDepartment. For the past 18 years, she was at Woodson High School. Linda is married, has one daughter, a five year old grandson and another grandchild on the way. Family is very important to Linda. Her hobbies include collecting miniature historic houses made by “Shelia” from Charleston South Carolina, camping, baking, and movies.
