Mission Statement: The McLean High School College/Career Center is a vibrant resource for students, faculty and staff, parents and the community. The Center provides information associated with post secondary planning: two and four year colleges, vocational and technical schools, apprenticeship programs, civilian and military careers, scholarships and financial aid, job and summer opportunities. All students, regardless of their background, academic achievement, or economic situation, are given the opportunity to develop plans for the future that take into account their interests and abilities, current trends in education, the economy and the job market.

This site is presented to highlight resources available online for students and parents in order facilitate post secondary planning.

The College Career Center is a resource center for information to help students explore educational and career options, make realistic career decisions, and establish career goals. Through presentations at all grade levels, students are introduced to and guided through resources provided by Fairfax County Public Schools as well as located on the Web.

All students can visit the College Career Center during break, at lunch and after school. Those students wishing to come by the College Career Center during class time will need a pass from their teacher. Parents are also welcome in the Center.  Please stop by if you’re in the building. However, please call ahead for an appointment to insure that the College Career Center is available at that time.

Fairfax County Public Schools offers the comprehensive website Career Connections which provides information on decision making, career planning, self-assessments, college options and selection, military opportunities, summer programs and more!
