Security
2009-10
It’s a new school year and we want to start it off right and with clear expectations, so we thought we should put this information out to the parents, students, faculty and staff about student dress. FCPS and McLean High School do not have a harsh dress code, but there are certain things expressly prohibited, and we need everyone’s help to uniformly adhere to our dress code.
Students not complying with this code will be asked to cover the noncomplying clothing, change clothes, or go home. Repeated infractions will result in further disciplinary action.

All students are expected to dress appropriately for a K-12 educational environment.
Any clothing that interferes with or disrupts the educational environment is unacceptable. Clothing with language or images that are vulgar, discriminatory, or obscene or clothing that promotes illegal or violent conduct, such as the unlawful use of weapons, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or drug paraphernalia, or clothing that contains threats such as gang symbols is prohibited. Clothing should fit, be neat and clean, and conform to standards of safety, good taste, and decency. Clothing that exposes cleavage, private parts, the midriff, or undergarments or that is otherwise sexually provocative is prohibited. Parents of students requiring accommodation for religious beliefs, disability, or other good cause should contact the principal.
