Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC) are unique health care professionals who specialize in the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries to athletes and others who are engaged in everyday physical activity. ATC’s have an understanding of sport specific requirements and demands on the body, which enables them to develop specific rehabilitation and therapeutic exercises to better prepare active individuals for their activity. The ATC also serves as a liaison between athletes, coaches, administrators, parents, treating physicians and other health care providers to foster a comprehensive network of care. The certified athletic trainers at McLean High School work under the supervision and direction of team physician and orthopedist Dr.Ramesh Chandra.
