General Description and Information


McLean High School will again be hosting the MHS Summer Institute on August 23-26.  This institute has been an opportunity for students to develop skills that help set them up for success.  It is focused on students transitioning in to McLean High School as freshmen, as well as those taking advanced academic courses for the first time.  Student will attend the institute Monday through Thursday from 12:30-3:30.

MHS Prep Freshmen Institute

students will be introduced to the school and the services that we offer to students, as well as work on organization, study, and other academic skills to help them succeed in the rigors of high school coursework. Information and Form    

MHS Advance Academics Institute

The rising Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors taking an AP or Honors class for the first time will be in the MHS Plus Institute, where they are walked through the expectations of advanced academic courses and practice skills to help them succeed. Information and Form

Registration Information

Registration is open through June 24. Please pick up the forms in the main office at either McLean HS or Longfellow Middle School, or download the forms from the links below. Please note that a complete registration packet must include:

  • the enrollment form

  • emergency care form  

  • payment

    • Space may be limited and registration will be on a first-come, first served basis, so please register as soon as possible.
