AP Environmental required summer reading
The purpose of this assignment is to initiate some ideas in your head that we will discuss throughout the year. Read the following books, maintaining a journal of your questions, thoughts, and responses to what you read. Your submission should be 7 - 10 pages (typed, single-spaced, 11 point font, Times New Roman). All entries in your journal should be dated. The journal will be collected the first day of class. Silent Spring- Rachel Carson
Documented stories on the effect of pesticides on ecosystems. Available at any public library. The Earth Policy Reader- Lester R. Brown, reports on global environmental degradation and the resulting economic effects.


AP English Language and AP Composition
will have the same assignment:
read Tim O'Brien's The Things They Carried.

AP English (only)
Completely read Ralph Ellison's The Invisible Man

 


Latin 4 and AP Latin Literature the following for the summer 2009:

To the students who have signed up for AP Latin syllabus (Vergil):   Students are advised to read both the Iliad and Odyssey of Homer during the summer, since both stories will be featured in the first quarter of AP Latin
