Each year the librarian reads the Primary level books to the k-2 graders.  Then in the spring students vote for their favorite.  The results of our local vote are sent to the county and then on to the state. The students are always anxious to find out how their favorites compare with those of the other children in Virginia.

3rd-6th graders are encouraged to read from the Elementary or Middle School lists.  Students must read at least 4 of the 10 books in order to vote.
