Bryan Baldwin bryan.baldwin@fcps.edu (703) 714-5451	Currently Teaching: Intermediate Band, Advanced Band, Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Band, IB Music Students recieve group instruction in all performance classes and perform music from all periods and styles, as appropriate to their respective abilities. Major American music from the twentieth century is part of these classes each year; music from other eras and places is performed over the course of four years. Mr. Baldwin has been teaching band, I.B. Music, Theory of Knowledge, and piano at Marshall High School since November, 2000. His previous teaching experience includes elementary band in Fairfax County, band and marching band at the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, and middle school band and chorus in Southwestern Virginia. He is a 1995 and 2000 graduate of George Mason University, taking degrees in Music Education and Instrumental Conducting and serving as the Graduate Research Assistant to the Director of Instrumental Studies. He has studied horn with David Whaley of the National Symphony Orchestra and conducting with Anthony Maiello, and has performed at Wolftrap, the Kennedy Center Concert Hall, the MidWest International Band and Orchestra Clinic, and has conducted at the Bands of America National Concert Band Festival. He is a member of the Music Educators’ National Conference, the Virginia Music Educators’ Association, and the music honor society Pi Kappa Lambda. He lives in an undisclosed location with his wife, Alexandra.
