Our Vision
We believe that the most promising strategy for achieving the mission of George C. Marshall High School is to develop our collective capacity to function as a caring Professional Learning Community whose members value and celebrate our rich cultural diversity. As an instructional staff of teachers, counselors, and administrators, we envision our school as one in which:
- We demonstrate a school-wide commitment to student success;
- We work collaboratively in curriculum teams and across disciplines to develop goals for learning that are clear and challenging;
- We implement differentiated instruction and research-based best practices for improving student achievement with ongoing support from families;
- We provide feedback on each student’s learning progress and interventions for students as needed;
- We engage in ongoing inquiry, personal reflection, and data collection to evaluate the effectiveness of our programs;
- We encourage students to take increasing personal responsibility for their success as students and as citizens in a supportive school climate.
Our Mission
To challenge the intellect for life-long learning and lasting results.
To enable each student to realize his/her educational, personal, and career goals.
To foster strong positive relationships through respect, responsibility, honesty, spirit, and community as exemplified in the Statesmen Code.
