WHEN do students make decisions about taking IB courses?
- At least one Pre-IB year should precede taking IB subjects; for example, Pre-IB English 10, followed by IB English I and II (Remember: nearly all IB courses are two-year subjects.) If possible, Pre-IB classes are recommended for grades 9 and 10.
- Diploma students need to begin foreign language and algebra while at intermediate school
- All students should discuss IB options with their Guidance Counselor; Diploma students need to have a conference with the IB Coordinator prior to entering the program (usually during grade 9 or 10.)
