Grades 10-12 • Credit: 1
Accounting offers students the opportunity to learn about the financial operations
of modern business enterprises and prepares students to make better financial decisions
for the future. Course topics include forms of ownership, accounts receivable/accounts
payable systems, payroll, taxes, and banking activities.
Successful completion of this course in conjunction with a corresponding industry certification may
qualify for a student selected verified credit.

Advanced Accounting
Grades 11-12 • Credit: 1
Prerequisite: Accounting
For the student who wants to pursue a college major in Accounting,
Business Administration, Marketing, or Management. Also ideal for
immediate job entry and/or starting your own business one day. Topics
include inventory control/cost accounting and partnerships/coporate
methods. Computers are used throughout the course.
The Statesmen Branch of the Apple FCU is managed and operated by
the students of this class.
Successful completion of this course in conjunction with a corresponding industry certification may
qualify for a student selected verified credit.
