FCPS, Fairfax County to Communicate With Parents on Teen Drinking Public Awareness Campaign

The first phase of a new countywide initiative—Parents Who Host Lose the
Most: Don’t Be a Party to Underage Drinking—will be launched with a mailing to parents of every public high school student in Fairfax County.

This media campaign informs parents and other adults, in time for prom and graduation season, about the legal ramifications and health and safety risks of serving alcohol to teens.

Parents will receive a letter explaining the initiative, a fact card on underage drinking, and information on the underage drinking law.
