In 2002 a JMHS parent, Maria Coyle, developed a teacher recognition award called the Triple I Award. The Triple "I" stands for "
Innovate - Instruct - Impact." This award is designed to acknowledge the teachers that have been
exceptional educators in the eyes of their peers, students and parents.
Nominations are being accepted through
May 15th, 2009 for this year's award.
The ten teachers who receive the best nominations will receive the honor of being a Triple I teacher, and will be given a special "Madison Tie or Scarf" and will thus join the elite Madison Tie/Scarf Club. Then one of these ten will receive the Triple I Teacher of the Year award.
