Parent View
Dear Parent/Guardian:
You now have the opportunity to create an FCPS 24-7 Learning (Blackboard) account of your own. Your access, called Parent View, provides the opportunity to view all your children’s accounts. Additional features are to be added in the future, however immediate benefits of this secure log-in include:
- Access to all your children’s courses.
- Uses your own log-in and password, not your students’.
- Ability to enter and update their children’s emergency care and contact information online (weCare@schools link on your blackboard account) when the application is released.
Registering for Parent View
To get an FCPS 24-7 Learning Parent View account, please follow these steps (unfortunately, at the present time, the system is not set up to accommodate step-parents):
1. Online Registration: (at home)
- Using
your web browser, go to http://fcps.blackboard.com
- Log-in
with username: parentreg and password:
newuser
- Under
the Parent Portal Registration heading, click on Click here.
- Fill
out the online form and follow the prompts. NOTE: Use
your name and student ID number, if requested, as they appear on the mailing
label you should have received in the mail.
- At
the end of the process, print or write
down the unique registration key (if you have a problem printing this key, click here). Bring this key and a photo ID to one of your children’s
schools for verification.

2. Onsite Verification: (at any one of your children’s schools)
- Bring
a photo ID and the unique registration
key to the main office of your child’s school and you will be directed to the
registration site. Parents must apply in person; children
cannot complete this process. The school will verify your information and issue
you an FCPS 24-7 Learning Parent View username.
- Upon
completion of the verification, your password
will be emailed to you.
For your convenience, Madison staff will also be available to complete the required onsite verifications Monday through Friday 8-3 in the Main Office.
3. Log-in to FCPS 24-7 Learning Parent
View: (at home)
- Using
the new username and password, log-in to FCPS 24-7 Learning Parent View and
have access to all your children’s FCPS 24-7 accounts. If you
need assistance, contact the FCPS 24-7 Help Desk at 1-866-434-8880—please do not call the schools.
