April 6, 2007
Hi parents! The end of the year is approaching, and “spring fever” is setting in. Please remind your student that remaining academically conscientious from now until the end of the year goes a long way toward keeping that academic record where you want it. For those of you who have seniors graduating, my best wishes for their continued success in the future.
Next Year’s Courses- shortly, you will be receiving in the mail a list of the courses your student has requested for the 2007-08 school year. This is NOT a class schedule, merely a list of the courses they signed up for. If you have any questions, please contact your counselor
Report Cards for the 3rd quarter will be given to your student in their 3rd period class on Monday, April 16. Please look at this closely, especially if there is a possibility that your student may need to take a class in summer school.

Junior class Information
Junior College conferences
Counselors would like to meet with you and your student to discuss post high school plans and the application process. Please give your student’s counselor either a call or email and it will be arranged. This is usually a very productive conference, as it usually “jump starts” the college selection process as well as reviewing your student’s overall progress.
College Fair
A wonderful opportunity is coming for you to explore the many college options available at the Patriot Center at George Mason University on Wednesday, April 18th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. College representatives will be available to chat with you, answer questions, and give you information. This is an excellent time to get on their mailing list, so be sure to bring some address labels with you to put on the request cards. For a list of colleges that will be attending: http://admissions.gmu.edu/rsvp/attending.asp
