Computers for Families Program
The Madison High School Technology Now Committee, a subcommittee of the PTSA, operates the Computers for Families Program.
The program identifies students within Madison who do not have access to a computer at home. These families are invited to attend weekly training sessions held at a computer lab in the Vienna Patrick Henry Library.
Each family is assigned a mentor who acts as a guide and presents lessons about using computers. Upon completion of training, the family is presented with a new computer, software, and a connection to the Internet.
This program is funded by a grant. Approximately a dozen families have benefitted from the program to date. For more information, contact the Computers for Families Committee.
