The focus of the course is to prepare students for the Advanced Placement Language Exam.

Students will be able to:

1. Comprehend messages, conversations, short narratives presented by native speakers in the target language.
2. Understand, analyze, and infer meaning from authentic texts in the target language.
3. Identify grammatical structures and vocabulary in context.
4. Write an organized but concise essay based on a topic provided.
5. Narrate a story suggested by a picture series or pictures.
6. Respond to open-ended questions.
