Tiptoid -
Are you fed up with all that spam that pops up on your computer screen when you are online? Well I was, so I did some research, and I learned that while I can't easily avoid being spammed, some spam can be avoided. Here are some spam dos and don'ts.
Never respond to spam e-mail. That will give the spammer another opportunity to spam you.
Never sign up with sites that promise to remove your name from spam lists. They may be sincere, but there again you have put yourself on a list that others can get a hold of.
Report spammers to the web master of the host domain from where the spam was sent.
Notify your Internet Provider than you are displeased with the amount of spam you are receiving, and that they need to put more effective anti-spam programs in place if they want to keep your business. If you follow these rules, then the amount of spam you receive should be much much less.
Glossary -
spam - unsolicited e-mail, often of a commercial nature, sent indiscriminately to multiple mailing lists, individuals, or newsgroups; junk e-mail
