Issue - IMing Acronyms

Tiptoid - One Thursday afternoon I was IMing Sharmeen when she said "ttyl." For a second I went blank because she signed off before I could ask her what "ttyl" meant. So I decided to do some research. The next day, I looked in my M2P classroom for a brochure on IMing, because we have M2P student-produced brochures on almost everything there! Luckily, I found out that "ttyl" was an IM acronym that meant "talk to you later."

Online you can use IM acronyms like "ttyl" (especially if you are in a hurry). Here are some other IM acronyms -

"ttfn" - ta ta for now

"lylas" - love ya like a sis (for girls)

"brb" - be right back

"lol" - laugh out loud

"g2g" - got to go

"sry" - sorry

"u" - you

"ur" - your

As you can see, I could go on forever.... :-)
