Issue - Being comfortable in front of the camera

Tiptoid -

Legs shaking, heart beating fast, sweaty palms - that's how we used to feel when we were in front of the camera during our school television programs. But after observing quality presentations by others, listening to thoughtful advice, and practicing, practicing, practicing...we are now cool, calm, LIVE television show anchors - no longer nervous.

We want to share our tips with you, so you will be more comfortable if you are ever in front of a camera.

Step 1 - Make sure you have all the proper papers (script/news items) in order and organized.

Step 2 - Review your script until you are comfortable with reciting out loud.

Step 3 - Now, review all lines with your partner to get a feel of how it will be when the camera is on and you are broadcasting LIVE.

Step 4 - Before you go LIVE, review in your mind all the things you need to do so that you will communicate successfully. This includes smiling and looking directly at the camera lens.

Step 5 - Take deep breaths and look at the positive aspects. This is an opportunity!

Step 6 - Be confident and believe in yourself.

Are we good with this now?
